Honestly... I always just get baking soda (or powder, lol) it is the Arm and Hammer orange box, lol. Just put your detergent in your laundry like normal and then add like a half cup of the arm and hammer.
My son was in our garage one time and picked up a gasoline container and some spilled on his pants. I washed them three times and not only did they continue to stink like gas but anything i washed them with did too. My friend told me to use the arm and hammer and in one wash it totally worked and you couldnt tell at all they had gas on them. Then, I left a load in the washer for about a week. I forgot my last load and the next laundry day went in and they all stunk so bad like mold. One wash with the arm and hammer and detergent and they were fine. Just fill the tub with the water first, add the detergent and a&h and close the lid for one second to swish the water and then add your clothes. That way the a&h isnt just poured on top to stay and clump.
This has worked for getting puke smell out, skunk, gasoline, cigarette smell.... It is a miracle worker on odors.
Good luck, I hope this helped!

I find that using a product like BIZ (found in the laundry isle of the grocery store) helps remove odors from laundry.

I have used it for about 25 years and the smell from vomit has never been a problem.

Since your sheets have been washed already, just fill the washer with warm water add the biz and your detergent, add the sheets, run the machine for a few minutes, open the lid and let them set for 20 to 30 minutes. Close the lid and allow the full cycle to run. If they still retain the smell repeat until the smell is gone.

Fling it out and buy a new one
or try using a different washing powder if the first one you used doesn't work and put it out on the line to dry the sun will work it's magic.

Try washing with hydrogen peroxide. The handy release of oxygen when it contacts organics and or infection should kill those nasty bacteria causing the stink, and lighten up any hair you have on them too. I say that is a reason to be happy. So be happy and STINK NO MORE!

Don't wash it in hot water, just lukewarm and add baking soda. Baking soda absorbs odor. If possible air dry it.
