Well, saying it advocated the KKK is a simplistic answer. First it described how the corrupt carpet baggers from the North, using the Army subjugated the South. Second, it explained why the KKK was formed. In (one of) the Carolinas, the ***** (historical use of word) soldiers were stationed in the towns. They harassed the citizenry, stole personal possessions and killed indesciminately(sp?). The proverbial straw came during State elections where the ****** used force to keep the whites from the ballots. This resulted in a vastly majority of ****** in public office. They, along with the assistance of the corrupt northern agents forced them into a corner. This group started out as protectors of the southern citizenry. Unfortunately it was bastardized into the twisted ideology we know today.
