I was wanting to take a vacation, its just my boyfriend and I and was wondering if anyone could explain to me what all there is to do there, is it real fun? or would disneyworld be better? Should i purchase my tickets online? i was also wondering about the hotels, should i make reservations for a hotel now or just find one when im down there, we're going in September this year so it shouldn't be that busy, but are the lines extremely long?? Ohh and one more thing, i was really wanting to go to Sea World, is that part of Universal Studios or is it seperate? If anyone knows about Sea World please let me know! And if anyone that has been to Universal Studios Florida, please tell me your experience and how to save some extra money! Thanks!! =)

Universal Studios is so much fun. I think it was more fun than Disneyworld. It also depends on if you like roller coasters also. If you do I would suggest getting a park hopper or multi-park pass so you can go to both Universal Stuidos & Islands of Adventure (they are right next to each other & you would park in the same deck). There's a lot to do at both of those parks there's rides & shows & since you're going in Sept. it should be not too hot (hopefully). The lines can be sort of long but if you head to the biggest attractions first it should not be too bad. I suggest getting there right as the park opens. Also it helps since you are going in Sept that school will be in so there will be less kids there.

Sea World is separate from Universal but some of the multi-park passes have sea world listed as one of the park choices as well as wet 'n wild water park.

I would definately start looking for a hotel you want to stay at. www.hotels.com is a good place to look. I would book by summertime to ensure you get a room at a hotel you want. I would suggest staying somewhere on I-Drive (International Drive) it's a central location & if you look at each hotel & see a map on google or something to see where local restaurants are you can walk to many of them. I stayed at the Holiday Inn on I-Drive & we could walk to Olive Garden & a few other restaurants as well. Also you may want to look at hotels on I-drive because some of them offer free shuttles to Universal & other local attractions.

Ways to save money @ universal. Take advantage of the lockers. You are allowed to bring in food (at least we could when I went 2 years ago, but check their website to make sure) so if you want to save money go to like a grocery store & get some bread & peanut butter & make sandwiches from your hotel & some chips then you can save $ on lunch & just buy snacks (they meals there are crazy expensive like $20 for 2 people for burgers & fries & a drink) the snacks on the other hand are relatively inexpensive we got pretzels & churros for like $2. Also make sure to buy one of the sport bottle like drinks that offer refills for like $2 on sodas (this will save you $ & I think they refill it with tap water & ice for free). Another way to save on tickes is again go with a multi-park thing & especially if you buy them online @ www.universalstudios.com

Hope this helps

ok you need to go to keith prowse, that is where my boyfriend and i get our tickets from and these last for 2 weeks and you can go to universal studios, sea world and universal islands of adventure. you can also purchase a ticket that will get you into all the disneyworld parks too.

you should try airtours to book your holiday and yes it would be better to book your hotel now, as they are very busy and you could end up spending quite a lot if you wait until you get there.

if you drive there are some great hotels on international drive that are close to universal or if you rather the highway 192 to be close to disneyworld.

wherever you go there will be buses availbe everyday all the time to take you from your hotel to the parks, but it is better to be a driver over there as it gives you more freedom.

i love both disneyworld and universal and could not possibly choose between the two i would suggest if your out for two weeks then get the two sets of tickets and flit between all the parks, this will give you the best holiday ever, i love doing it that way, then you get a taste for everything.

Have fun you will absolutely love it

The lines are long, but going in Sept should be good because the kids are back in school. When you enter a park like Disneyworld, go left, because most people go right. You should at least get 2 or 3 rides in with short lines. As far as hotels go, you might be able to get a package deal on hotel & theme park tickets online. Seaworld is seperate as far as I remember. It's been a while. I hope this helps.

If you have the money to do so, I strongly recommend staying at Portofino Bay if you plan to go to Universal Studios. Because it doesn't matter how long the lines are, you can use your hotel key card to get to the front of the lines. It's totally awesome.

Sea World is NOT a part of Unviersal Studios.

As for Disneyworld v. Universal Studios, I recommend Universal Studios, especially Island of Adventure, because personally I prefer their attractions. The motion simulator/3-D Spiderman ride is one of the best rides I've ever been on.

Universal isn't as good as Disneyworld. How can you wrong with Snow White, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad? It's for everyone. At Universal Islands of Adventure, you will be like, that's it.

They are both equally fun parks. I recommend try both if you can afford it. To me Disney World is the most perfect place on earth. Its way better than you can imagine. The rides are so much fun and its such a clean park. Universal is a great park too, but it does not have near as many rides as Disney world.
