This is happening to my Mom. She lives in another town, she leaves him for about 3 months and then goes right back to the A$$ who does this to her. I believe one day he will kill her. We try to help her, but she runs off in the middle of the night without letting anyone know.

He has been arrested for this before but they ALWAYS let him go the next day. He has even put her in the hospital before. There is no justice for her.

this happened with my mom when i was really young, and i couldn't do anything, it EVER happens again, im killing the bastard. plain and simple, and i'll get off. thats just what i would do

She has to talk with a "Crisis" line...in the time of her crisis..when she leaves to go stay somewhere else for a few months...Shelters for abused women! You have to Try again to explain one day she won't make it out alive and ask her..what it is that makes her feel she needs to go back. ?? But definately, get her to a crisis shelter..and they can help her in every aspect to give her the strength not to return to that..that she deserves so much better and can have that* She NEEDS to make that call to the crisis centre in front of your phone book or call police next time and have them bring your mom to a womens crisis shelter with her young kids if she has any living there...GoodLuck*

There really isn't any thing you can do outside of what you are already doing being there for her and praying she wakes up before it is to late.
I have been watching this happen with my sister for 25 years now. She tried to leave he would find her. Tell her he was sorry he would quit drinking and blah blah blah. She always goes back.
I know it is hard for you to handle this because it is hard for me I feel for your situation I really do
But all we can do is to be there for them when they run and do every thing we can to try to keep them from returning.

you cant stop her and the only way to stop him is to call the police and let them see him hit her or see where he has hit her recently leaving red marks,scratches or anything like that then they have to arrest him she cant do anything, most states prosecute without the victim testifing.
