how can 'Sting,'Bono'et al,expect us to believe that(as their careers are over)this 'Make Poverty History' is anything but hypocritical,self-promoting rubbish?

It's their money, how much are they supposed to give?

I do agree that it is self-promoting, but it isn't hypocrytical to spend your own money on yourself after you have given a lot. It certianly isn't rubbish to want to help end poverty.

Ok let hand you 100 million so we can all talk bad about you because of some stupid expensive stuff you buy. Do you expect Sting to live in a condo and eat canned soup for rest of his life?

You do have a point, though I don't think it negates the value of the attention they have brought to critical and ignored social issues. Would any of them care to address these particular observations and objections?

I have no way of contacting these individuals, so this is a shot in the dark.
