I've worked in an entertainment business for the past 15 years, where people are smoking all the time. I do not smoke, yet I have a flap in one lung ,an enlarged other lung and a crushed diaphragm all from second hand smoke. It all started with a stinging and then I coughed and coughed until my diaphragm was crushed and I never lit a cigarette. I hope this can help a bit. I would like to add I had at least 16 people at a time smoking around me in a confined area, where I performed. You want to know if I want smoking banned, it's too late for me now I do a lot of thinking about my family members and other innocent non-smoking people affected by second hand smoke. What do you think, do you care?

I live in Colorado. In the past two years there have been laws passed preventing smokers from lighting-up in bars and restaurants. In Boulder you cant even light-up on public sidewalks. There has been a tax increase of 2.00 per pack.
Well, smoking should be banned because . . . Smoking is only recreational. It is not absolutely necessary. It is pure habit. A person can go several years without tobacco. Cant say that about food or water.... Get the point? Not to mention all the health risks.

I not only think smoking should be banned but I think it should eventually be made illegal. Cigarettes and cigars. My reasoning is that tobacco and all the chemicals that is put in them are addicting and makes cancer and kills cells. Also chewing tobacco should be no longer made as well. It doesn't seem right and moral that a substance that damages and kills people can be made legally and be sold legally. Then why can't all illegal street drugs become legal? I don't ever see alchol becoming illegal again. But it can be controlled. But smoking kills the smoker and the second-hand inhalers. It harms the unborn babies of pregnant women.

Smoking should be banned because of the dangerours hazard it caused in the body.A smoker is liable to die young because smoking can weak it's blood cell and not be able to fight some of the disease in his body.Research has shown that smokers has the risk of being infected with cancer than non smokers. To live long,it is better to ban smoking.

Smoking is bad for your health, that is true. I do find it interesting how all these people get so judge mental about smoking when they drive cars that cause pollution (not good for your health),buy products from companies that pollute,go to tanning beds to get skin cancer, don't recycle, etc.. How about working really hard at these issues too, since all of it is bad for your health, in the long run?

Only in public places or restaurants. Let me put it this way : Having a smoking section in a restaurant is like having a peeing section in a pool.

Smoking cigarette or ****** should be banned. However cigars shouldn't. Cigar is like a expensive wine, it's not meant to be a everyday thing or to stafisify your nictoine craving, it's meant to be enjoy for its taste.
