Not really. in soccer, there's 90 minutes and basketball is only 48 minutes. In soccer, no timeouts, no quarters, worldwide sport. Basketball is probably most favorite sport in U.S. In soccer, you need skill in using your feet, in basketball you need skill in using your hands. If you touch the ball with your hands in soccer, that's an automatic yellow card. In basketball if you use your feet, the other team gets the ball.
In soccer 11 guys on the field, b-ball 5.

Both are team sports but they are not similar at all. For one, they mainly use the leg to kick the ball (except the goal keeper of course) for soccer and basketballer use their hands. Basketball has higher scores than soccer. The court size are different and there are more players on the field for soccer! What about the rules ... offside in soccer and not at bball ... (lucky! or else there will not be a Phoenix Suns!).

Too much differences ... so it is just u!

In basketball, you can score more points easily. No one is specifically stationed near the net during the whole game. Plus, it's easier to handle a ball with your hands than with your feet.

VERY different. Only thing in common is that you have to take the ball from one side to the other and make a "goal". Still very different.
