I cant imagine hereing todays music 50 years from now called "The Oldies Classics!"?

So when Im 70 I'll be listening to Rap?! That just sounds plain wrong todays songs have short term sucess and nothing more the oldies that are now do stand the test of time so will they always remain the oldies we'll here forever or will todays generation be listening to some rap of todays era (I know not everyone likes rap but you get the question im asking)

i guess ultimately this is what time does - makes what is current now, old in the future.

i think that youre overgeneralizing music today by saying just rap - but i guess its done for the purpose of the question. dont forget that other genres like punk, rock, r and b, etc are still around.

essentially, the music that deserves to be remembered is remembered - good songs that can be generalized to mass amounts of people that stay in their hearts become the future's classics. dont count on rap being the majority of music played on the radio in the future. hope that the songs that touch people's lives become the classics.

in my head im thinking goo goo dolls, our lady peace and the bands that are liked by almost everyone will stick around.
