I started making music, how do I protect it. I sent it to myself in the mail. But how do I officially get it copywritted? and how much is it going to cost? also is there any other ways?

A friend of mine in CDB told me to mail it to yourself. Thats the easiest, cheapest way to do it. "Poor mans copywrite" Dont open the letter once you get it though. You would need to talk to a publisher about getting a true copywrite.

actually you know what? my girlfriend made a wed design and wanted to get it copywrighted. the school told her all she had to do was send whatever it is in the mail to herself self addressed and "never" open it until you by chance have to go to court and the judge will accept that as proof....he will open it and look at it..might want to write your name and birth date and some other information on a piece of paper too.
