When i say hay trouble i don't mean they are truly trouble I use it as a term of endearment. and i dont take it as some one calling me a trouble maker when others say it to me either

Depends on who says to whom. It also depends on how he or she has said it. You could also read the sign language conveyed because it speaks louder than the word.

It's a form of endearment...when someone thinks you're spunky or full of mischief they might say that.
