I would rather just stay here (in Michigan) so I can hang out with my friends since it's my senior year and a lot of my friends aren't leaving. But my parents won't let me stay home even though my 21 year old sister will be home. What should I do? We're supposed to leave tomorrow at 8:30, and I've been telling them all this for the last month or so, but they won't budge. Thanks. And unless you have an idea of how I can get out of going, please don't answer with the advice that going with them won't be that bad and I should go.

If there is no way you can get out of it,which you should be able to say you don't wanna go you are an adult, but it's kinda hard since you are still in school and living under their roof,at least try to convince them into letting you take a friend!!They probably just want one last vacation w/ you before you go off to school or out in the real world!!

Rather than stay with your sister -- do you think one of your friend's parents might be willing to let you stay at their house and take responsibility for you? Or is there a possibility that Mom & Dad will let you bring a friend along? If you have been a good kid, one whose grades are decent and one who usually follows the rules your parents make then I think you have a good chance of getting them to go for one of the options I have mentioned. But If you have been screwing up all year you probably don't stand a chance. Good luck -k-

At 18* you can make your own choices...your parents may not approve..and ask you to leave their home if you feel that way*..then it is up to you..to decide if you're financially and emotionally ready to move out right now on your own and fend for yourself?? If the answer to that is 'no'...you best be packing your bags and enjoy your last "vacation" with your folks. Life's too short...I would enjoy your vacation and your friends will still be there when you get back. GoodLuck*

Why on earth would your parents want to go to Florida during Spring break???That is where the young hot adults go to let off steam during a semester break. Fake being sick. Take a laxative if you have to , but you really don't want to go there at that time with your parents.....Spring break in Florida is for wild partying, drinking and SEX...been there done that but NOT with parents...Good Luck....a sickness is your best out.

are they paying for your college or anything? cuz if not i'd say rebel and don't go with them. but if you need to keep good realtions with them(b/c they are paying for your college), just go. then sneak out of the hotel and go party--- theres bound to be hella fun in florida.

but try one thing b4 you give in: clean your room, make them dinner, and wash the dishes. then say all emotional and ****: "It would mean a lot to me if you let me stay home. I love you and letting me stay home would make me feel loved by you too." or say something along those lines.
