If Gore would have been more relaxed and not so robotic, he would have won as the election would not have been close enough to steal.
Also, Clintons impeachment made Clinton unusable in Gore's eyes.

Since most Americans were happy with President Clinton and did not want to see him impeached, I think Gore did make an error in distancing himself from Clinton. However, in my eyes Americans were robbed of our Constitutional right to free elections when the Supreme Court stopped the recount and
declared Bush the President. Americans are to blame for our complacency at allowing this to happen, not Gore for being too stiff.

Yeah, and maybe it was the teacher's fault because the retard couldn't learn to tie his shoes ! Come on Chi ! I know enough about you to know your smarter than that. You know very dam well he lost because there were too many stupid ignorant people in this country. How smart do you have to be to see that Al Gore is a more capable leader than George W. Bush ?
There was little actually wrong with the campaign that Gore ran. People just presume because he lost to Bush he must have ran a lousy race. No, the problem was the incompetency of the voters.

Al Gore didn't put his own state in the win column. If he had won in Tennessee the Democrats would have been occupying the White House. Coincidentally the same thing happened to the Democrats in '04. Edwards did not put S. Carolina in the win column.
The Democrats keep trying to win in the south, but they're obviously choosing the wrong candidates to win in the south.
If they ever decided to support a popular southern politician, like Mark Warner of Virginia, there would be no doubt who would win the election.

It was a really close election. I agree that I believe Bush stole the election. In retrospect, I am not sure that Gore would have handled 9/11 as well as Bush did. It would be very interesting to see what would have happened. Gore made a mistake in not using Clinton. It was a political decision which cost him the closest election in 100 years. Now he is done in Politics.

Did you miss the fact that Gore won the popular vote? Were you old enough to remember the recount going on in Florida (where Georgies little brother was Governor and there was hanky-panky). Do you recall it was the Supreme Court that stopped the recount?
The spoiled brat and his henchman stole that one, fer sure.

This is why image is everything, unfortunately. People seem to care more about personality than the actual issues that the candidates stand for. I didn't care if he was robotic. Actually, he had an interview, I believe, when he was running with 20/20 and he showed a good personality. But, in the end, image is everything, sadly.

For crying out loud, will you stop this B.S. about Bush stealing the election already. The only thing the Supreme Court stopped was a totally unconstitutional 4th recount. The law allows for 2. After it was all over they counted the votes again and Bush still would have won.
P.S. Gore would have been a totally rotten President.

The election was stolen, so how could Gore have lost??
We have a repube governor here in my state who won the same way. They kept recounting the votes until they got what they wanted. Here's the kicker...Bush visited our state just prior to the vote, and was said to have given pointers to our Repube.
To bottlethrower:
It just shows to go ya.....20/20 hindsite will surely blind ya. :D

Gore presidencial chance of winning was really hurt by Clinton's impeachment. By that time, US was tired of a Democratic Candidate because of Clinton, giving Bush a head start in the game.

Gore won the majority of the votes by almost half a million dude. Call it what you will but that still speaks volumes to anyone with a brain.
