Great, Great movie without a doubt. Denzel truly deserved an oscar that year. (as did Matthew Broderick) Best movie Ever - it's no.3 on my list behind The Shawshank Redemption and Shindlers List. Great movie though! Good choice.

I just saw it (again) a few weeks ago, I think it's a wonderful movie. I saw it a few months ago in an "extras" version that had all kinds of historical blurbs added both about the movie and about the real 54th Massachusetts, it was fascinating.

Agree on the five out of five rating. Not the best movie ever. There are a lot of other great ones mainly starring the Olsen twins.
