VirusBurst, also known as VirusRescue and SpywareQuake, is another malicious rogue anti-spyware program that looks like a legitimate application for removal of spyware, but it installs a trojan in an attempt to trick you into buying the software. Once VirusBurst Trojan installs on your PC, it sends fake security messages stating that the PC is infected with spyware in order to trick you into buying the VirusBurst full version.

Tracking cookies are small files that web sites use to track where you go on the internet. They're generally harmless, but you should still probably rid yourself of them regularly if you're concerned about the privacy issue.

If you're using Internet Explorer, you can set your cookie preferences under
Tools -> Internet Options -> Privacy (tab)

If you delete their folder, I'm pretty sure IE will just recreate it anyway.
Not all cookies are tracking cookies. If you block all cookies, some web functionality will be blocked to you. For instance, Short-Media uses a cookie to keep you logged in between visits. This type of cookie just stores information about your login here that is only accessible by this site and doesn't do anything else (e.g. it does not 'track' you or do anything else you wouldn't want it to do). If you block all cookies, you would not be able to stay logged in here between browser sessions. This applies to most other sites you log in to as well.
When you change your cookie settings it may stop you from visiting certain sites. You can clear your cookie file every day to stop tracking cookies if you do not want to change the cookie settings. Also I recommend that you get a spyware and adaware program on your computer if you don't already have one. Spybot Search and Destroy and Lava Soft Adaware are both very good programs and both of them are free.

A trojan (also known as spyware) hides itself inside other software to install on your pc. It collects info about you and e-mails it home when you log on to the internet.
You usually need anti spyware to get rid of trojans and spyware; anti virus deals with viruses.
It also helps to switch off system restore, as it will restore this file! And then scan in safe mode using your anti virus and anti spyware. Software can't load and start in safe mode - and you cant uninstall a program thats running.

Go to Start - programs - accessories - system tools - system restore.
Run your anti virus and anti spyware in Safe Mode. To get into Safe Mode repeatedly press the F8 key after the bios screen loads but before Windows loads. You'll know if you made it because the screen will be at 800 x 600 and your pc will be slow.

You need all these anti spyware programs;
http://www.ewido.net - AVG(Ewido) anti trojan.
http://www.safer-networking.org - Spybot Search and Destroy anti spyware. Use the Teatimer settings to protect Internet Explorer, and the Immuniser to stop malware getting on your pc.
Spywareblaster works with Internet Explorer and Firefox. It won't uninstall spyware that is already on your pc, but it will prevent hijacks and other malicious changes to your browser.

A virus is something on your computer that will slow it down. It comes from people who want to hack into your personal information for thier financial benefit. I had one on mine Monday and I was able to get rid of it with the AVG Free Editon. Spy Sweeper detected it but wouldn't get rid of it. Norton and McCaffe is junk, don't use it or trust it. Iv'e had my computer in before to have viruses removed and spent a 100$ bill. This time I was able to fix it myself. If you have one, it will drastically slow down your computer to the point where it won't come on again.

So whats the problem, if Norton has found it, it will get rid of the virus for you. That,s if you are not using the demo version of Norton.

sounds like theres a virus that basicly writes down everything that you type on your keyboard and sends it to someone's PC, giving them your passwords to everything. If you scanned it in Norton, then it probably deleted the virus for you. if not, just try quarantining it.

A virus is like a mini-program to destroy your computer.

A third party is basically another person. In your case, he/ she is seeing your personal details like passwords, credit card info and so on.
