I'm an 18 year-old classically trained mezzo-soprano (I can sing soprano and alto parts) and I've performed in operas and musicals outside of my school. Here's the problem- no one in my school has heard me sing and I want to knock their socks off. You can't really do that with an operatic aria. I also don't know many of the diva-y pop ballads that are so showy.

Can someone help me, please? Point me in the proper direction? I want to leave everyone in the audience with goosebumps but don't know the right song to do it with. Mariah Carey, maybe? Whitney Houston? What song would you recommend?
