Why does the Easter bunny carry eggs? Rabbits don't lay eggs.

long ago the easter rabbit experimented with some way to make his holiday special. he tried many things, but what worked the best and the worst were big colored droppings. they were shaped like an egg as it happens.

the droppings were multi colored. it was easy for the bunny, they make them at a professional level.

however while the bunnies had it easy (more than one, like santa claus). the people didn't find them nearly as enjoyable. they didn't taste that good frankly, and they all complained.

after years of market research the bunnies made agreements with chickens. chickens would lay eggs, and as a marketing agreement, the bunnies would then in turn create a marshmellow likeness of their young. the chickens were happy, the bunnies were happy, the people were happy, traditions are started and kept.

The Easter Bunny's friend in a Henrietta the Hen. He and her have been in a relationship for some time now but because of the differences in life style and genetic make up they have been trying to hide it. Anyway to make a long story short E. Bunny is always going around trying to cover their tracks and it seems that H. Hen is always laying evidence so E. bunny picks it up and continues to try and hide it.................what other explanation could there be?

Eggs, like rabbits and hares, are fertility symbols of extreme antiquity; since birds lay eggs and rabbits and hares give birth (to large litters) in the early spring, these became symbols of the rising fertility of the earth at the Vernal Equinox.

The bunny is a sign of fertility and the egg is a sign of purity.

That is so funny - I was just wondering the exact same thing the other day. I didn't come up with an answer though, so I don't know what to tell ya.
