Try taking some choreography you already have and changing it. You can change the floor pattern the dancers are following, change the direction they are facing, change the level they are on, or change the quality of the movement (smooth, sharp, large, small, etc.). I was in a piece once where we took a basic arm movement combination and flipped it upside down (the dancer did a handstand and hooked her legs around the shoulders of the people supporting her). It's also interesting to try doing a standing movement on the floor, or vice versa. In my experience, it's always nice to see a familiar movement done with a little twist to end a piece. Good luck to you!

this is hard to answer cuz i don't know what type of modern you are using(Paul Taylor, Martha Graham.........) and i don't know the song all that well but i can try. try to find a form all music has a form like ABA or ABCBA or all mix ups you can imagine. dance can be put in the same form. so look at what you have and break it down into a form and you may be able to repeat the same step as before or repeat with a slight mix to the original step. if all else fails set the final seconds and allow your dancers to come up with their own steps or improve. improve is a modern dancers biggest tool when it comes to making a dance look like it was made for them.

If I was you and I wanted the end to be really awesome, I would put alot of crosses in at the end with dancers going across doing different leaps and steps. I would put lots of incredible sequences in it, alot of arches. Splits turns, leaps, anything that is impressive and tough. You could do split rolls or scissor leaps. GOOD LUCK!!!

Go back to the basics. Use simplicity or a phrase you've used before or change a phrase you already have to deepen it or explore it more. Then go back to a strong phrase to finish it off.
