Judge Judy is much more entertaining!!!!

Far as I can tell Judge Judy is big on sarcasm and objectiveness while Dr. Phil is big on boosting egos and encouraging people to think outside themselves. It's kind of apples and oranges though...in that they, although both talented, are trying to do two completely different jobs.
Far as vices, Dr. Phil can appear too optimistic (ideally, breaking harder truths and telling people they are failures in some areas is part of achieving perspective and goals).
At the same time, Judge Judy often veers toward the other extreme IE coming across with an attitude that says "you are so bad and dumb you will never get better", even when her words say "this is what you should do next time"...this could flat out make people give up hope...not exactly healthy influence (even in the face of the entertainment/media scene).
Overall, I'd give the Doc the edge (for influential/helpful-ness) because he deals with both emotional and objective matters (although, by profession, judge's are required to ignore the subjective in search of the truth).
Although I'd give Judy the edge for comic attitude and entertainment value.

i like both of them. Judge Judy is funny. And Dr. Phil knows how to put info to people and make them see what there r doing is wrong.

Judge Judy is far more entertaining. If I have Dr. Phil on I tend to fall asleep. His voice is so monotonous.

ARE YOU KIDDING????? Judge Judy by far!! I think she is right on target!! She sees these cases as they are. She is no nonsense and is not afraid to let you know this. Her style is reminiscent of the "Old School " mothers of my youth. You knew that they could see through your lies even before you could makethem up! I LOVE JUDGE JUDY!!!
