Her about face after her four year support of the war does not bode well.

Matt (below) The 2000 election was Gore's to lose. And he did. Your rewrite of history is a fairytale.

Shrink (below) {smile} What "moral standard" has any conservative in office today set for the country? Is it perjury, page scandals, mistresses, embezzlement??

Did you ever go to the store for hot dogs and come home with hamburgs instead, my point being every body was fooled by the faulty intelligence presented to congress and I feel anybody can change their mind, except of course your president, he has stayed the course through over 3200 American deaths. With still the same plan on the table.

Hilarity is a joke; unfortunately a very bad joke. Let's face it, both parties really really su*k. They are taking their marching orders for Big Business; there really is no difference in what they stand for. Both want the illegals in so their bosses can have slave labor and break the middle-class back. Both want free trade for the same reason. The only thing they disagree on is abortion (which should be a personal choice anyway) and the action in Iraq (Dems will fail if the military succeeds).

So how about everyone voting for Ron Paul; at least look at what he stands for.

My problem with Hillary besides the obvious name thing (Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton)

I think that she is too divisive to the American people, people either love her or hate her, there are very few that are neutral.

I would like to think a person running for office of the President would realize this and not want to continue the split (red/blue) any longer. She should put the office of the President above her own ambitions.

(And I am not saying that is okay for the right to dislike her as much as they do, but they do, and I am afraid that we would just find more differences in each other than likeness)

She already did. How do you think Republicans gained control in the House and Senate after being the minority for 40 years? How did they win back the presidency? Her health care plan scared Americans away from the Dems. her husband provided the rest of the ammo. All the stuff you complain about. All the neocon stuff was setup by the Clintons.

Edit: I know your point. That comes from the Clinton camp. Gore says the Monica B.S. caused him to lose. Hardly a fairytale especially if Gore believes it.

Come on Chi, you know as well as I do that they were lied to, which is why they supported the war in the first place.

The democrats don't need Hillery to be damaged - they did that all by themselves when the embraced a policy of defeat in Iraq - and again when they attached all of the pork to a bill as serious as the war funding for our troops on the battle front.
These bills could have been presented at any time and are in no way what so ever related to the war. And that's just lame.

No one can damage a party that doesn't have any set standard of social morality. Either the US will accept the lack of moral standards, in reaction to the current administration, or the US will accept the moral standard and reject the Democrats.

The pendulum swing of history.

EDIT: Why see an insult where there is just a factual statement, chi? Why respond with an insult? You know our values position. A hypocrite in the works doesn't change our values.

She didn't support the war for the last four years. She has been very critical of the President's war policies for almost the entire period. I don't see any reason or evidence that points to her being apt to destroying her party at all. I think she'll strengthen it, not damage it.

Yes, Hillary has issues. But she always can overcome these with lots of $$$$$...you see..the buck stops here!

I am not a Hillary fan but I don't see much opposition to her right now...it takes lots of #$$$to win in 2008
