i own a shop and you might need to check the plugs in it they may be getting old and not firing good under pressure, also look at the wires on it,and change the gas filter, all of this stuff is cheap to do,basically you need a minor tune up on it,this should help it, also re-set the timing on it,this will cause one to cut out real bad if its off more than 2 degrees, good luck i hope this helps.

What is wrong, you are Mr. Cheap. Cuz if you had bought the Haynes repair manual for your car you would not be asking. But I guess I will look it up for you. lol

You can look up the answer yourself. Personally, I would think that you have some kind of leak. When under the hood, see if you hear any whistling or any sort.

Maybe someone put a governor on there and you do not know about it. hahaha Never know.

Also go to ebay and google your car year and model and add manual. Example, 1998 Ford Escort Manual . Get the service or repair manual, NOT the owners manual. If you are lucky you can get the cd repair manual. Just watch it with supplements for your car. Those are just the additions to add to the ORIGINAL repair manual. Make sure you look at the pictures and which manual they are selling. They are not usually specific. I have seen owners manual listed as repair manual. You look for what you want if you want to order or not. Have fun.

Try putting Dielectric Grease on the plug porcelain and in the plug caps, this could stop spark tracking.
