♥'s In Myspace "name" disappearing, Why?

Question

I added hearts ♥ to my myspace name and also falling hearts that were imbedded in HTML code for the page. The falling hearts kept turning into ?'s so I changed the falling hearts to stars and they now stay.
I put hearts on my name and now the same thing is happening. They turn into ?'s when I log back in. What did I do wrong? Is there a way to keep from losing them?

If you are using alt-3 to type a heart, that only works under certain page encodings. The html code (& hearts; without a space) should work consistently, as should the unicode (& #9829; (again, minus the space).
