Proactiv is one of the worst things marketed I think that is supposed to make you look like God has struck you with a miracle. Even if it does help some people, I know a lot of people that struggle with acne can't follow it because of the steps. In reality, all it is in benzoyl peroxide, which is sold cheaper at any store. You can become immune (and most do, even if it's after a few years) to it and it can stop working all together. I don't suggest it, because some of the products can actually make your skin thinner too. I've personally tried it and it's never done a thing for me, and I really don't have that bad of acne, just stubborn stuff. I've never heard of Sheer Cover, so I can't help you there.

My husband used Proactiv and he had a major complexion problem. We tried everything for him! He used it and in 1 1/2 months he looked great! His cousin also bought it and the only problem he had was the one real bad area of acne burned a little in that area when he applied it but it was not like a horrible pain or anything and his skin healed all up also
Hope this helped!

I never really had an acne problem, but occasional break outs would happen with one to two every so often. I decided to try it though, in hopes that that would stop as well as take care of some minor black heads. I paid for every 6 weeks, $75 I think. I waited patiently, but all I got was minorly irritated skin. So I would say, if you only have slight acne it wouldn't be worth the $75.

Proactiv is the BEST. I ordered Sheer Cover a few days ago online. I haven't gotten them yet.

I used proactive for about 10 months when i got so sick of not seeing results and then i went to a dermotologist and he told me that what ever i was using (Proactive) really did a lot of harm to my cells in my skin.

I know so many people who have used proactiv, including myself, and we all love it. I do not know anyone who hasn't liked it that used it regularly. I stopped using it for about 6 months and switched to an expensive salon brand and had breakouts. Went back to proactiv and I'm clear....

i actually have tried Proactiv before. just last year. i was surprized becuase it made my skin tight and dry, so now im not using it anymore. although there are so many people out there who have tried proactive and like it, it doesnt work for everyone, everyone has different skin. too bad for me!

It really depends on your skin type and hormones. Some people have allergic reactions to the benzoyl peroxide in the solutions. You can read users' comments here http://www.acne.org/rate_item.php?item_id=91&page=5
