I like authors who write in current day language. I write and can say that I am my favorite author.

I don't read often, but I think that Mark Twain was amazing at Huck Finn. Ummm....nope. Nothin'. I don't have a favorite author. But if you somehow meant favorite author as in lyric writer for music, I'd pick Pete Loeffler, from CHEVELLE.
