In some states it is considered battery by bodily waste which is a crime.

If you're talking about spousal abuse, yes I would consider that abuse. Anytime you do something to hurt your partner, then that is considered a form of abuse.

He degraded you by spitting in your face and you don't know if this is abuse? Would you spit in your mom's face...dad's..etc... anyone YOU respect? I dint think so... I think if I were you... I would tell him next time he spits on you...not only is that considered assault in some states....but I'm sure all his boyfriends in prison can accommodate him on the spitting on people fixation he has....

Actually, it can be considered 'Assault with a Bodily Fluid.'

at least, in my state.

Regardless, it is REALLY REALLY disrespectful (and disgusting), and I would consider it an abusive action.

It is 'verging' on abuse. You two better listen to some relationship tapes or go to counseling....or both. This thing is turning ugly.

You can be charged and go to jail for that. Yes it is abuse honey. You need to talk to him and tell him that his actions were unacceptable.

Yes, the law defines that as a form of assault for which I think you could have him arrested.
