The S pendant is the slytheren horocrux.
Harry and Voldemart will dual in some sort of Colosseum in front of death eaters.
Ron will finally be rich.

It's fun because it gives us something else to think about for a few months.
On the US cover, it looks to me like it's on a stage ONLY because of the Coliseum in the background, sky color and the broken wood in the foreground. What broke out? And both Harry and the snakeman (those eyes are creepy and he really needs a manicure) are looking at the same thing. I love that Harry seems to be ignoring Voldemort.
Throw in the UK version, and it just might be some alternate dimension. Heck, they can teleport anywhere, right? Harry doesn't seem so alone and it shows his power and seems less ominous in color choices and the beautiful white stag. How cool there's a house elf that appears to be helping Harry as well.
The building - part looks to be encased in ice and the green leading to the lighted doorway reminds me of The Wizard of Oz. Tree looks dead, too. So, what has come over the land?
Hm...Are the dark clouds showing the approach of evil? And all the coins, jewels and treasure remind me of a dragon's hoard. Think that armor's important? And what about the jewel encrusted sword?
And I still want to know this - what about Harry's aunt? I know I read in two places (at least) she was important and there was more to her than met the eye.

Goodness, the covers look brilliant. Especially the UK childrens' version. I think it's the only book cover in which all three appear, isn't it? It looks really different and ominous, too with all those strange objects....
Is the castle on the back Hogwarts? Why does it look so white... I though Hogwarts was made of stone. Or is it just the moon light?
What does everyone think that weird triangle in the spine power and the glass ball with the snake are?
And Annie, look in www.mugglenet.com !

What I think is the coolest thing about the US cover is that Harry is not using his wand. As far as we know the only wizards who have done this (that are alive today and are in the story) are Voldemort, Severus and Albus.... How powerful is Harry going to get this year?

Well it definitely shows there will be a big showdown battle, but I think we all knew that. The jewel encrusted sword would be Griffindor's. The setting is kind of like the place where the battle when he was pulled by the portkey out of the tri wizard tournament took place, so somewhere significant.

are you talking UK or US cover? The UK one is neat. It looks like Ron, Hermione and Harry are getting sucked through some sort of portal and (I had to look twice to even see it) there is a house elf with a sword standing behind harry with his hand on harry's shoulder! Interesting........

I'm sure it's cool, but what is it? Do you have a link to it? We know that a major character dies, we know that it's Harry's last year at Hogwarts, we know the title (Deathly Hallows), but unless you give is a link, we can't see the cover...

Personally, I loved it. Simple and to the point, even though there is sadly little evidence of what to expect.
Why, oh, why must we suffer until July?!
