Okay there is a new guy coming in the department, but he has some sort of physical problem that stopped him from coming to work on time, and he may have to take some medication. first, that may delay a week to work to prove that he can work.
The boss was telling his people about that, specifically what 's wrong with him. Should I say the boss violate privacy? Lawsuit?

Actually it really isn't any of your business. You can't sue him.

The person may very well have given 'the boss" permission to disclose the medical information. This person may feel much safer knowing htat others know what his situation is.

Sure he did. Sue,sue sue. Everyone else does. It shouldn't be too hard to prove he has been hurt by those damaging comments. But he will have to be the plaintiff, not you.
