We grill on the driveway November - March so we don't have to climb through snow and mud. We grill on the backyard patio April - October. There isn't anything that we can make in the oven or stove-top that we don't do on the grill!

Happy Grillin'! :)

I think it's safer in the driveway as long as you put it away each time. If you grill in the backyard, you get more privacy. If you grill in the front yard, you build more community, and who knows when you'll need to ask those "nosey" neighbors for a favor? (-:

If you grill in the yard, though, I think it's important to put some sort of "apron" out -- a sheet of metal or a little square of bricks. It will keep the grass underneath from burning, and give you a more stable base for your grill.

Do people leave their grills out all summer? I always put mine away the next morning, after the ashes are cooled and cleaned out. But it's just an itty-bitty thing. (-: And it still gets rusty, despite being stored in the garage!

The grill should be located near the kitchen or entrance to the house unless you're going to have a built in one by the pool. You need access to the food/ serving area and no overhangs. So, either will work, depending on your situation. Nothing wrong with a grill in the drive, provided it doesn't get stolen.

We grill in the backyard. Our neighbors grill in the front, and so does my dad.

I grill in my own privacy, with friends of my choosing, and in the back yard on my deck. Why do I want to grill in the driveway for gawkers passing by?

I like the backyard for everything including cooking on the grill. I just like it to be more private. :)

The front yard so you can make your neighbors mouth water when he sees that 1.5" 20 oz. porterhouse pulled off & laid on the plate.

Now I'm hungery. I'll be back after I fire up the grill.

Backyard will give you more privacy. Who wants the neighbors seeing what you are eating.

In the back yard. If I put it in the drive way my husband would probably run over it.
