Gay men are more common, simply because more men are born without having been introduced to enough testosterone in a fetal state. Homosexuality in women is much more complicated. It involves the woman's maturity, environment, and genes, as well as hormonal development, however, because of the complications it occurs less often.

However, remember that a gay person is either a man or a woman that is homosexual, whereas a lesbian is a woman. So some may simply say that gays are more common because that encompasses the entire group, practically.

Gays are more common then lezbians.
I do belive people are born gay but I think the reason why more guys are gay then girls is because they cant get none from girls coz alot of girls arent eazy, so they just go with guys but this isnt always the case. I was talking to a friend of mine who is gay and he told me something that just made me think this, he said, its just eazier to get sex from guys then girls and he also confirmed that he was attracted to girls as well. Girls dont have that problem with guys coz most guys would jump in bed with them anytime so they dont choose to be gay unless they are born that way. Now days its a trend to be gay, and people who do it to be cool annoy me coz thats them being fake! and they dont understand that being put in this world with those feelings is not an eazy journey! The one thing that the whole world encourages for people to be is THEMSELVES and then they critisize people for being gay and thats just contradicting themselves saying yeah be yourself but if your gay go and change. Another thing i realized that its just funny to me now, its when u ask people, well why are u straight? they go coz its "natural" to be straight so thats just them basically saying they are only straight because it makes sence but do they actually have sexual feelings for the opposite sex? If ur gona answer why ur straight u should start with saying just how the opposite sex makes u feel not because u think its natural. Everyone has their own nature and people are given different feelings for different reasons, whatever u do in life, dont deny the way u feel, coz then ur in it for a long and mizrable time which would leave u even more confused in the end.

I would think that there are more gay men, but then again there are also a lot of lesbians. Theres pretty much a good mix.

Here in Denver there are alot of both but i think there are a bit more gay men than lesbians. I could be wrong but it seems that way to me!!!

Gays!

Women are more likely to hook up with one another though...but they mostly wouldn't classify themselves as lesbians, it's more of a "spur of the moment" "I was drunk" thing for the most part...

Gay men, however, are less likely to hook up with other men when they're not gay, and they are in increasingly higher numbers than women who are lesbians. Mostly because women just hook up when needed without the title and then resume their straight life...

I think people assume that gays are more common becuase you can tell that they are gay as to where lesbians are harder to tell. But it hink both are pretty common.
