Do you forgive and forget... or forgive and never forget?

I try to always forgive and forget, but some things are things you should never forget. You know the saying, "Hurt me once, shame on you. Hurt me twice, shame on me."
Remember things that could end up hurting you again in the future...like, remembering if a certain friend has trouble with lying, or cheating or something like that, then don't put yourself in the situation to be hurt like that again.

No I don't. I try to forgive but to truly forgive you have to be able to forget and I never forget. Character flaw maybe or I could be just protecting myself in the future.

It depends on who we're talking about, but mostly I forgive and not forget but I really don't care about it much afterwards, so it's like forgiving and forgetting. And I try to truly really forgive, not just say um it's ok, I try to really put it behind me, because everyone makes mistakes and I know how hard it is to face them, and well that's the way I like people to treat me too.

Forgive - Never forget.

If you forget.. then you are losing a lesson. A life lesson. So it's fine to forgive.. but don't let it happen again... so.. learn from it and don't forget!
