i dont think they did. a gun to your head will make a person admit to anything if that person believes the threat. also, look at the countries involved.

Even Iran, at first, gave coordinates within Iraqi waters; they changed afterward.
Furthermore, Iran's government is not known for its honesty. It is likely that the "confession" was forced or forged. I watched Seaman Faye Turney's televised confession on liveleak.com. It sounded scripted, consistent with my suspicion. I remember seeing a similar confession by a US Airman captured during the Gulf War. I believe soldiers are instructed to behave in a common sense way in situations like this, to remain alive and well until their release can be secured.
Iran behaved contrary to international standards in airing pictures of the British hostages.

I agree with you about the UK not being in Iranian waters. I think that Iran is trying to start WWIII.

Perhaps, the sailor that admitted it is trying to get her butt out of there.
Maybe the royal navy will trespass with a couple of well placed missles into nuclear facilities once their people are out of harms way. We can only hope.

why the allies are busy to have a war with iran? they can have their own nuke facility. who started the atom bomb program and then trying to stop everyone having those atomic weapon. if the allies start the war with iran, then you will start to see another terrorist group launch their attack on your home soil. if the uk didnt send their troop to iraq, will the iranian captured your seaman? think first.

Of course not, that's just Irans weak excuse for kidnapping them. They want to use them as bargaining chips to get sanctions lifted.

I don't think they did. Any time people are taken hostage they are forced to say they did what they are being accused of. That happens all the time.
I just pray they get back safely.
