I am a convicted felon and need to know what to put on my application for my answer to the question, "Have you ever been convicted of a felony?" I'm gonna say yes, of course. I need help explain myself. Feel free to IM me about it.

When you go to the interview just be honest and explained what happened. Make sure you point out your qualifications and really build yourself up and try to take the focus off of being a convicted felon. No matter what be totally honest because if they look into your past, which they probably will, and find something you left out, it would give them good reason to terminate you. I wish you luck.

Hi..from a learning coach

You have a problem.
To get on the short list you need help!!

Do you have references from the prison, from officers, from anyone who has pull? Influence?

Next idea:

Offer your services for a period of time for free!
This is perhaps scary to you..but it will get your foot in the door. It doesn't cost them to try you out.

This way even if they don't take you you can get a reference from them. You are in..you have experience!

I guess just tell them the truth. If they do a check, they will find out anyway. At least they will respect you for being up front.

Leave out those details. If they ask, just be honest. If it doesn't work out, then it wasn't meant to be. best of luck to you.
