I feel like I have to go to the bathroom, #2. I have had diahrea so it's not like I have to go. I feel pressure on my back and in my groin area. I am very tired and have a headache. My lower stomach is achy. I am 36 weeks... does this mean I will have her early? Anyone else have this for a long time or did they have the baby right away?

Now I am having some contractions... I don't know how far apart they are though. They don't seem regular. I am having hot flashes too. I have an appointment at 9:30 in the morning (it's 12 hours away) so can I just go then? How long do you think I have?

It varies for everyone. Is this your first pregnancy? Usually the first one takes a little while, but I would HIGHLY SUGGEST calling your doctor now. Start timing your contractions. If they are consistent and getting closer and closer, then ITS TIME TO GO!!

If you think that you are having contractions then you should try and time them. Begin timing at the beginning of one until it ends this will give you an idea of how long they are, then begin to time the next one from its beginning to the beginning of the next and this will give you an idea of how far apart each contraction is. If you deliver at 36 weeks it is fine, the lungs are developed enough that the baby should have no problem. Im a little concerned that your having a headache though, have you be diagnosed with pregnancy induced high blood pressure? Either way i would try and time the contractions and then call your doctor and at least talk to them and get their specific advice as to whether or not you are in labor, they are the best judge of this since they have been following your pregnancy with you. Also keep an eye out for any discharge or gushing if this happens then you are definately in labor and it is time to go. Good luck to you!!! and congrats;)

If you were ready to give birth, there would be contractions so strong you would know it was time. I think your body is telling you it is close though. Just go to bed, relax, take a bath and go the appt. in the AM. UNLESS you have stronger contractions, feel very bad, then I would go tonight just to be safe :-)

time length of contraction and how far apart they are. If nothing regular and you don't feel anything is really drastically wrong with you (sick, flu, stuff like that) They wait to see OB in morning. You can always call your OB (on call person at night) and express your concerns to them. That is what your paying them for and they expect and want people to call when something is or could be wrong.

For about 4 weeks I had those symptoms off and on. I had contractions but they were never consistant. I ended up going a week over my due date. Unless your contractions become really close and consistant I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Usually labor contractions are very very very strong and painful...hard to miss...if you are questioning being in labor, you probably aren't and you're having braxton hicks (false contractions---weaker version of real ones). I'd wait for your appointment unless of course you have a sudden gushing of fluids (like urine) or a "bloody, mucus show." Good luck and hang in there...I know it can be very exciting and we tend to become impatient, but it will come when its ready to.

I had those same exact issues. I felt like I drank the water in Mexico (no offense Mexico). From the time the #2 started, it was about 8 hours until I had my daughter in my arms.

It's time to go. Off with you now. Get your bag and hightail it. Have a blast and congrats.

Just trust your Mothers intuition! If you think you are okay to wait until morning, then you probably are. If they start coming regularly, call the doctor/hospital and tell them how far apart they are, and for how long, .I would lie down and rest, just in case tonight is the night, you want to be rested to have the strenght needed! Good luck to you!

you really need to call the labor and delivery area....sounds to me like it could be early labor....if you catch it soon enough they may be able to stop it until you are at least 38 weeks. I'd go to the hospital.
