I mean, there is a killer/monster/spirit, etc. on the loose, so let's just stumble around in the dark, maybe holding up a flickering candle or shaking flashlight?? ARGH!!! Do they actually think that leaving the lights off will save them?
And yes, I realize it is not real. But I'm still ticked.

Because the bad guy/spirit/monster turned off the power. They're devious like that.

i know i always wonder why they dont turn lights on.
they say that its just to make it more scary but really i think they use bad special effects. so they need big aqupment so they try to blend it in with the senery and turn off the lights so that no one will pay to much attention to the floor boards that stand out( open when you walk on them) or the wall section that is painted brighter that the other (a monster pops out of the wall).

yeah, i know what u r talking about. every girl in the movie is a retaurd who can't even turn on a light, so then instead they trip and fall, and get killed. i usually find myself yelling at the movie.....telling the people they are retaurds.
I think they want to turn on a light so they can find an exit to escape the lunatic, but like i said, they're retaurds.

Honestly, i can understand because if something were coming to kill me and it was some jacked up monster -- I would NOT want to see it coming.
I do get annoyed that the chicks always fall when running away.

you no what bothers me in these movies.is when people hear noises and its all dark and spooky and they decide it would be a good idea to go find out what the noise was instead of gettin the hell out of there
