It is true - this is not an issue about lack There are abundant resources to feed everyone in our world.
It is about who pays for it? A very complex issue. So instead of concentrating on the lack, and going "oh dear, what a shame", we all need to find a way we can each make a difference, even if it is only a small one.
Get involved in the system. Get elected somewhere, even if it is only local government or school boards, work from within. The real fear of those in control is people power. The main reason they get away with what they do is apathy of the common person.
I am not a member of Greenpeace, but I like their motto - Think Globally - Act Locally. Look at the issues in the world and fix those in your neibourhood. Then you will be in a position to do something about the next neibourhood. If someone has already fixed the problems there, go further afield.
Every person CAN make a difference.

where is this country that has superstores on every corner? i would like to live there lol. as an american, i hear hippie liberals say this junk a lot, but give no real plans for solving hunger. what are we supposed to do, steal food from walmart to send it to africa? perhaps hippies should be complaining about the corruption, lack of freedom and open markets in these countries. if you see a crappy country, there is usually a reason for it. either it was involved in a civil war recently or has political instability, has massive corruption, or was involved in communism.

Its called currency, or money if you will. If poor countries do not have enough of this, "money," then they're just plain sucking. The human race, thrives off of money, and as cruel as it sounds, not everyone cares about other ppl out there in the world besides themselves and the ppl in their lives who matter the most and that they are trying to feed and provide for. When would it be easy to? When everyone in the world says money doesn't matter.

i think we should take over africa's economy. start erecting government buildings and factories. embark on a mission to grow and sell local agricultural goods as well as start mass producing livestock. sooner or later there will be plenty of jobs for everybody excluding the small percent of disabled or lazy/felonous few. make another united states.

only one thing makes the world go around.. well two things but we won't discuss oil here.. money is why.. there is no money in it and social order exists only because we have been told we have to earn what we get by making money and you need jobs for that.. and you can buy food with that.. giving food to people who have no job defeats the social order of money... sometimes i wonder if money is the real god here...

Why share with others when we can have more? That's the common conscious in Americas capitalist economy.

its not as easy as you think.. how can we afford to pay for others food. why should we. I understan they are hungry and are human beings but they are born into that society and it is what they know. We work for our food. they should too..
