please help MAS ?????????

i have a 1997 mercedes E320. I took the air filter and the filter box out. The plastic cylinder where the MAF goes into, ther's like a plastic screen and a metal one, how do I take that out? ive tried a flathead but wont work, can somebody please help me?!?!?!

Get a Haynes Repair manual for your vehicle make and year. It has troubleshooting tips, wiring schematics, and how to fix about everything in your vehicle.

But you can go on ebay too and sometimes the manuals are really cheap, that is if you can wait. go to ebay, and look for 1997 mercedes manual. get the repair or service manual, NOT the owners manual.
