I have been wanting a tatoo for the longest but I don't know if they are good for the skin. Does anyone know of and good or bad stories?

They can be good for you skin, if it is done by a professional tattooist. When a person gets a tattoo, they are exposing the skin and puncturing it with ink. the exposed skin and needle needs to be as clean as possible. If and when you decide to go get a tattoo, make sure the tattooist does these things:
1. shaves and wipes the area you want to tattoo with some kind of alcohol.
2. Uses a NEW sterilized needle (VERY IMPORTANT)
3. Wears latex gloves to keep the bacteria and dirt on his hands from getting in your skin.
When you get the tattoo, sure you take good care of it.
1. Moisturize it every 4 hours
2. Make sure it stays clean.
3. Don't expose the tattoo until after two weeks of getting it.

It can scar if not done right! Get something unique not the everyday stuff. AND check tatoo mags for what to look for in a tatoo place
I am getting a cool flag with my dads name flying in the wind. And another one I am keeping top secret! Beware the first five min are tough! And you will want more. Pick one that lets you put neosporin not A& D ointment the A & D makes it bleed. It will shed but not much.

I have never heard of a bad story IF the person went to a very reputable tatoo parlor. Don't go to the cheap ones. Follow the after care instructions.
I have had a tattoo for over 25 years and love it. I would not put it in a place where you could not hide it if you wanted to, like your neck, wrists,etc.
Try wearing a temporary for awhile to see if you will like it .

There is NOTHING wrong with tattoos. I have 6, and they are all very pretty thank you very much. If you go to a reputable shop, and thats whats the most important!, you should have no problems.

THeyre not great especially if they get infected. there was a story about a girl that got two stars and the ink peeled up and there was a hole in her foot it is a big scar now. So i dont think I would get one if I were you
