some people say its wierd that I have a name some girls have but my parents named me after some japanease that also have the name Kira. it doesnt really bother me but i was just wondering in what you had to say.. be honest because i hate it when people try to be real nice to me just to get a best answer i prefer honesty

To be perefectly honest I would have guessed Kira as being a girls name. But This is without putting a face to the name. As far as like having a problem with it. No, I do not, and I would be quite comfortable having a male friend with your name.

I have a patient named Kira who is the sweetest thing ever. So I have a nice association with the name. It's not weird at all.

At least you have an unusual name and not the usual John, Michael, David type thing. I just dont get how people are like sheep and have to name their kids the same as other peoples kids. Mind you i dont think much of names like Apple, Peaches and such, but who said names have to be boring.

To be honest, when I first saw "Kira" I thought you were a girl. But don't worry about it at all, because when people get to know you they won't think twice about what your name is. They will only think about YOU. A rose by any other name smells just as sweet! :]

Kira is a nice name, don't feel slighted. I knew a guy in school named Shannon, and people thought that was kinda' strange, but I liked it. Good luck! I like your name cause it shows your individuality.

i like it. I have a friend named Kim who is male, tall, thin and blond. I don't think a name makes a person who they are, I think the person makes the name part of who they are. I'm sure your parents must think very highly of the person you are named for, or they would not have given you that name.

deff love the name. its unique! I know how you feel! I have a guy middle name. sure alot of people pick on me about it but also they call me by it sometimes as a nickname and i think its kinda cute! so what? its not like i choose my name ya know? so we shouldnt care what others think. we are just have more special names. i wouldnt trade my name for anything!
