this is more of an opinion thing, but just for fun...
my school's prom theme this year is "stairway to heaven".. based on that what color/kind of dress should i buy?? i'm 5'5"ish and plus sized but "apple-shaped" which means i'm bigger in the middle than the chest or hips. thanks!

I would think light blue or white. But being bigger in the mid section causes a problem with that. There was a dress I saw at JC Pennys or Dillards (can remember) It was beautiful. It was light blue but it had a black sash around the mid section. It would be perfect. It's very much a prom dress but still covers that problem area. Good luck! :)

how about a white-ish color or maybe a light pink dress. or any color that isnt too strong. "stairway to heaven" makes me think of angels... so i think you should try to get a soft fabric dress. and for you're body shape, those dresses that openes out as it gets closer to the ground (i hope you know what im talking about... im not very good at discribing....) would be perfect. and if you feel a bit self-consious around your tummy... try wearing/tying a bow around your waist it should make it look more slimming.

u should wear white and any where that sells great dresses 4 a cheep price like

since u ave an apple shape u should wear something that makes u look small and ave an hour glass shape and u'll look HOT! don't get drunk and lose Ur virginity( if Ur a virgin ) at Ur prom
make sure u ave a really cute date don't get caught going to the prom with Ur dad, brother r cousins hope i helped

ok here`s what u need to wear (this is just my opinion)...as the theme is "stairway to heaven" i have a sort of reverse of that whole idea which i think would be sort of interesting (not sure how brave/experimental u are, but anyways...)...u could wear a black dress with some glitter in the fabric, and maybe find a pair of black angel wings to wear (might be difficult to find black, but u could get white & dye them)...some sort of unusual dress, like asymmetrical or something a bit different...try some out-there makeup, including glitter on your face...lol probably this isn`t what u had in mind, but i kinda like that "evil fairy" sort of thing...good luck!!!

a jewel toned color dress (think emerald green, or purple, ruby red, or deep blue) with a black sash in the middle to de-emphisize the middle. wear false eyelashes and get a really pretty up do with curls flowing down. :)

i think you should wear a real cute cream or burgundy dress. you should wear your hair pinned up and you should get your make up done professionally. and a real cute aqua color or light blue dress will go good with it too. good luck.
