I think people are voting for him to make a mockery of the show!
Sanjaya Malakar, 17, is from Federal Way, WA. He auditioned in Seattle with his sister, who was eliminated at the Hollywood stage of the competition. Sanjaya says he started singing as a little boy and had formal singing training.
Sanjaya, who spent four years performing with the Hawaii Children Theater, claims he is a shy person and says "I'm scared that I'll never be able to walk into a supermarket without someone recognizing me." His music idol is Stevie Wonder.

I'm not voting for him, I don't really care for him but he is better than others this week and last week both. This week, he was seriously better than Chris, Chris, and Haley. Thats who the bottom 3 should have been. Sanjaya can entertain, even though he doesn't sing much above average. I would rather him than those 3, but I don't vote.

tweenyboppers and the people who go to Howard Sterns site that promotes voting for the worse on AI! Apparently a whole lot of people have a whole lot of time on their hands, enough time to give that poor kid false hope that he actually has a chance of being famous for singing. When in reality he will be famous for being the next big joke on AI. In a year he will be a punch line. Such nice people who keep voting for him huh?

My cousin thinks it's the same old women and the young girls who were voting for the red hair boy who was on the same season as Jeniffer Hudson and Fantasia a few years ago.

No one on YA obviously since we are all ticked he is still around. My guess is people who want to see the show fail and go off the air.

I'm not either....I have come to the conclusion that either the American public is tone deaf or the whole contest is rigged....
