Can anyone tell me what to expect a termite company will charge when I know there is evidence of termites. I have called around and all companies want atleast $100.00 to come out to give an estimate. We live in the Baltimore, MD area if that makes a difference. The house is only 4 years old.
Thanks for any help!

most termite companies do free termite estimates. I know first hand companies do charge a nominal fee when a (WDIR)
wood destroying infestation report is done.

Pricing can range anywhere from $5.00 to $15.00 a linear foot depending on the what needs to be done to insure infestation is rectified. Price also fluctuates depending on treatment method and what types of termiticides are utilized to process your house.

If not mistaken, I believe orkin & terminex offer free termite inspections, But your best bang for the buck would be an owner/operator.
If you were in north eastern Pennsylvania , I could help you out but you are a little out of my service area.

On a four year old house, you need to call the original termite company. They should have at least some liability. Standard practice is to deduct the estimate charge from the bill, if you use that company. Go to Home Depot and buy termite treatment in a can.
