You're not missing out on anything. You are still getting paid based on what you work, just on a different schedule.

2 times a month is not the same as every two weeks. Every two weeks means you get paid on the same day, Friday for instance, every 2 weeks. 2 pay periods equal 28 days every time.

Twice a month means 2 times a month. Well a month is 30 or 31 days, sometimes 28 or 29.

Places that pay hourly wages generally pay once every week or once every 2 weeks. Salary places generally pay twice a month.

If you get paid 2 times a month you will get 24 paychecks a year. If you get paid every 2 weeks, you will get 26. BUT....you end up getting the same amount in the end. If you get paid 2 times a month, your company will average out your salary to fit that pay system. For instance, you will get paid for 86.66 hours every paycheck. ( this is calculated by multiplying 40 hrs/wk times 52 weeks in the year divided by 12 months and then divide by 2) If you get paid every 2 weeks you will get paid for 80 hours straight.

A month consists of either 28, 30 , or 31 days. A 2.week period consists of 14 days ... multiplied by 2 that would equal 28. It is better to get payed once every 2 weeks. That means more paychecks.

Basically, if you get paid bi-monthly than you are getting paid the first and the 15th of every month, if you are getting paid bi-weekly than you most likely are getting paid everyother Friday, you are not losing out on any money, it's just in the form of different amount of checks, I hope that this helped you with your question

Twice a month is 24 times a year.

If you get paid bi-weekly, that does not go by calendar months, and you do get paid more times in a year.
