I totally understand and respect that this is a free website, but the problem i see is that people post answers when they really have no idea what they're talking about...and are serious in their answers...it's too bad that such ignorant and misleading information can be posted... Kind of ruins this whole Q&A thing...Anyone else agree?

Case in point...I'm a little annoyed that some people post answers that have NO idea what they're talking about...just read some of them...

All opinions are ignorant and misleading - from a certain point of view.

This is a "Buyer Beware" website. Anyone with an ounce of sense knows that the answers here are only opinions and would consequently be insane if they used this as their only source for making a decision. The opinions/answers stated on YA are merely fuel to add to the decision process. You have the prerogative to accept the answers or reject them as your common sense dictates.
So, no I don't believe anyone should be restricted from using this website...within the dictates of the Community Guidelines.

auapc,
I think you may be missing the point here
Deal is-- you give people that don't have a clue what they're talking about enough rope and they eventually hang themselves !!
After you've been here awhile--you'll see that those who answer or even question with "out-of-the-blue" written all over their post--don't last any time here-- they run out of steam AND credibility very rapid !! And, you learn that you can learn from all this--- even the bad posts--- you begin to see prevailing thought with people who actually think that they are operating with knowledge on things who have anything BUT knowledge about things !!
But, to come to a day where questions OR answers have to pass through some "qualifier" thing to BE posted smacks of censorship in MY book and I wouldn't have a dang thing to do with a site that even hinted that it was headed in that direction !!!

We all have free will and a Yahoo search button to read up on the facts from people who are suppose to know what they are talking about, so I say even blondes like me should keep on answering, and leave it up to the reader to find the truth in the matter.

Everyone except those who violate the TOS should be allowed to post. Just because some nitwit pulls an answer out of his/her hiney doesn't mean you need to run out and take it as the gospel.

as long as they know politics, arent a woman, or part of a minority group, dont suffer from any disabilities, and dont live in poverty, and they have to be cool like the people you see on the reality television shows.
