RE:

How wrong is it to get someone's name wrong?
i met a proffesional woman today to ask her a few quesions about the business she runs, as i was leaving i said " thank you very much monique" and i was walking away and realized her name is ANGELIQUE!! omg how horrible!! do you guys have any funny stories about that lol?

i was just trying to be more polite by calling her by name instead of just saying thanks.. she also gave me magnents and stuff to hand out for my class presentation..
what should my note say?

first off ..maybe she didn't hear it...go ahead and send her a thank you note...leave out the mistake ,don't keep emphasizing it..let her know how much you appreciate her help and kindness...But there is no need to bring that up ,just write her name (HER NAME!) jk on the card and that's that!

Don't sweat it when you write the thank you card just address it to Angelique. Remember the name and face and the next time you see her again make it a point to call her by her actual name. Maybe she's already forgot!

A thank you note with her correct name (be sure to check the spelling) is so awesome that even if she heard the mistake, she'll forget about it. Who hasn't had their name botched, so what, it happens, forgive yourself and move on. Thank you notes aren't written enough these days so go for it with a smile. :-)
