Markakis & Haren for Magglio Ordonez & Mike Mussina
Who gets the best of that deal

This is really a coin flip. Mags and Moose are more established, but have more injury risk. On the other hand, Markakis and Haren both APPEAR to be on the verge of a breakout year. If I was forced to pick, I think I'd take Haren and Markakis and hope for the best.

Well I think this entire trade depends on if Mussina pitches like the Mike of last year (15-7 3.5 ERA 200 innings pitched) or the Moose of the previous two years (25-17 with an ERA around 4.5 and an average of only a 160 innings pitched) so as you can tell its a big difference. Otherwise I think Markakis and Ordonez are a wash and in Haren you get a younger arm than Mussina and somebody I think could have a breakout year. So I give game,set,match to the person who gets Markakis and Haren (also the fact that Zito left Oakland and Haren will move up in the rotation will help him mentally.)

At first glance, I'd say Ordonez and Mussina. They're proven veterans. Markakis and Haren are fantasy baseball darlings, but have yet to produce over a full season. They could be great, or mediocre.
I'd want to be the one getting Ordonez and Mussina in this deal.

I say Markakis and Haren.
Haren and Markakis are both underrated players this year.
Mussina and Mag or both old, while Haren and Markakis are both under 30 years old. Markakis will probably give you 20+ homers and 70-80 rbis and around 300 avg..While Haren will give you 15+ wins, 150+ ks and around 3.50 era with around a 1.20 whip.
Magglio is slightly better than Markakis, but Moose is nearing 40 and you can't expect him to give you the stats he gave you last year.
Markakis and Haren are up and coming stars.

I like the team that got markakis and haren. both great young prospects expected to have great years. Mussina is a Yankee pitcher, so he is going to get wins, if he doesnt get hurt. maggs gets ok numbers....
