I spent 2 weeks in Brazil (first 2 wks of Dec.02). It was the summertime there and it was great!! It is a very beautiful country to visit...Forget about the fact that Brazil is a 3rd world nation--just go there with an open mind and you will see a beautiful country(and women)...Go and have a great time..

It's a good season (winter) in Brazil, beacuse there's no excessive heat or cold. Although to snow in some regions of the South, the cold is not very intense in the regions Southeastern and northeast, where they are the most famous and visited brazilian beaches.
Bring light clothes as jeans, t-shirts, slippers but don't forget the sweaters.

It is GOOD for Americans to visit during the winter time...most Americans will not be phased as the wintertime is MUCH warmer than you might expect..it CAN and does still get to 80 degrees depending on the day..

I was there in May of last year and it was incredibly warm...

there is a Festa Juninha in June and that is a LOT of fun with parties and the snacks that come out during that time...make my mouth water..I have family that is going there...I am more than jealous!!

Yes it is a good time, because we don't have winter. So, anyway, you can go from January to December to Brazil and really enjoy the beautiful beaches, the wonderful nature (we have mountains, rain forest, amazing lakes, etc,).
I think that you'll love my country and specially the friendly people you'll find.
Have a nice trip.

Well, you didn't specify where you are going. If you are going to the South, it might be a chilly. But if you are going to the Southeast of the Northeast, you will enjoy very much.

It is my favorite time of the year in Rio. It doesn't rain much and it is not so hot (between 70 - 80 degrees).

Have a great time there!

Depends what part of brazil are you going, if you are going to northeast of brazil you will be fine because it is always warm there but if you are going to south east of brazil there will be a little chili but I am sure you will still enjoying.

Brazil has continental size, depends where you want to go. In the south in June is cold, but for example Bahia is always warm.

It will be winter. However in Brazil winter isn't cold and it isn't hot. Better for people don't like hot weather. You will see exciting things here. I think you will like it even when we are having winter.
