Can you wear socks with Skechers brand Mary Janes?

I want to get a pair of Skechers Mary Jane sneakers (or Skechers sightsee shoes), but are you supposed to wear socks with them? Part of your foot does show in them. I would be wearing them to work sometimes, so I want to wear socks, but not sure if it would look right. Thanks!

When I wear mine to work, I don't wear socks, but with jeans, I sometimes wear them with cute socks with a pattern on them.

If you do wear socks, wear ankle socks in a colour to match your outfit. That way it's cuter than ugly white socks.
