I was wondering how much do models weigh? I'm 5.9ft and weigh 114 pounds, do I need to lose more weight?

It's not about weight, it's whether you have the right proportions.

Typically models weigh between 110lb and 130lb and are 5ft8 to 6ft tall.

They are usually a size 0-4 with the following measurements:

Bust: 32-35 inches
Waist: 22-25 inches
Hips: 33-36 inches

If we believe most modelling agencies...a person can never be skinny enough....They don't care about the models health.

You have to be your own judge. It is dangerous to be too thin. If you rely on the industry, you might die like some well known models did.

At your current height and weight, you have a body mass index of 17. The healty weight range is a body mass index between 18.5 and 25. You are too small.

I know this is an old post...but hope you didn't try to lose more weight! I am 5 foot...and am overweight at 130 right now. My goal is 110 (I was 108 in HS). I could probably get super fit and get down to 100, but I would be happy with 110. And I am 5 FOOT. For me to have supermodel thin-ness....I would have to weight like 75 lbs or something. It is really gross, unhealthy and sick. You could put on 10-15 lbs...and be gorgeous. If you read this, can you update please? Oh, and even at 130, I still wear a size 4 right now. They are a little snug though. :-)

This may be an archaic example but the TV star Kate Jackson on the obsolete show Charlies Angels about three chicks who worked for a private detective service, had to take vitamin B injections to weigh what she weighed on the show, 110. At other times she went back to normal weight 140.

I would visit a modeling agency and talk with them about the right weight for models. Wow, you weigh less than me(by 20 pounds) and are half a foot taller! Daaaaang.

there is no right or wrong in weight to modeling. tyra banks gained 30 pounds and she still looks as beautiful as ever! also in america's next top model, there is a plus size girl and she hasnt gotten eliminated yet. the goal is to be a healthy weight, not some skinny emacinated weight like most models are. honestly, girls like those are pretty disgusting and sending wrong messages. so what you have right now is perfectly okay! as long as you have attitude in your modeling, your on your way to success

No. Sadly enough you are at the correct weight that most modeling agencies look for, which is unfortunate as you and most fashion models are underweight. I think I read on Alessandra Ambrosio's website that she has about the same height and weight that you do for example.
