In another question about Rush Limbaugh, an answerer stated "No - he's an idiot, a flamethrower. A journalist would try to report the news objectively, not "be" the news."

Is this true for Dan Rather when he reported the false documents about President Bush?

He was fired from CBS for his false story about Bush's military record. Used fake documents . So my answer is no. He was not a good journalist

Dan R was an excellent reporter. His 30 year career span was astonishing. He paid the price for his mistake, accepted responsibility, and held himself accountable. UNLIKE Rush Limbaugh.
