I recommend you start with soft tactics and leave the hard ones last, as there is the risk you may damage the CD or the drive.

First make sure the burning process is finished.

Then right click on the CD drive and select "Eject" (Usually 3rd option bottom-up).

Restart your computer and try to eject using the button on the drive or the right-click method.

As a last resource, turn off your computer and gently insert a straightened paper clip into the tiny hole. Do it carefully and push until the tray is unlocked. Pull the tray gently, you may damage the cover if it is stuck.

If the CD is stuck against the drive frame, try releasing it with the use of the paper clip.

If none of the above works, call your geek friend.

Some burning software will prevent you from opening the disc drive manually to prevent you from ruining the burn by accident.
Look for something in the program, if it's still up and running that states "eject disc" or some such thing.

That said, however, some programs get quirky and refuse to open the door no matter what. In this case reboot your machine.

If it still doesn't work, then power down your machine and stick the end of a bent paper clip into the tiny hole found under the disc tray. This will manually open the door for disc retrieval.

Try this?

open windows explorer
highlight the drive your cd burner is on
right click and select 'eject'

Some computers and laptops also have a very small hole/button in the vicinity of the burner/player. Try using a paper clip and pushing it in here. That opens the draw.

If you look at the front of the CD drive you will see a very small hole take a straitened paperclip and push it in the hole and this will open the drive even with the power off.

Try what the first guy said. If that doesn't work, restart the computer and it will probably open. Computers are glitchy like that sometimes. I've had this happen quite a bit in the past.

you could try opening "my computer", and right-clicking on the drive it's located in. a menu should pop up and there should be an option to "eject disc" or something like that.

Check to make certain you have finished all the steps of the copy (you may have to answer a few questions to finish the burn and eject). If you have (and it stilldoesn't work), reboot and eject during startup.

use a paper clip and bend it such that it fits in that small hole on your cd player.

suggest to have the computer in the off position.
