the sony's recovery CD's are usually not on one disk.. if its the dvds it will take atleast two dvd's to prepare one set of recovery disks.. if you dont have one, call the tech support and ask them to send you one for your vaio... or ask them on how to prepare one from your laptop... there should be a software to do that.... I did mine when I bought my laptop... it was constantly popping up to create the recovery disks...

Hold the "F10" key when starting the Computer and check whether you are able to view the VAIO Recovery Wizard window if not check out :

If there's a recovery partition on your hard drive, it may be possible to access it and to restore your system.
